Ahem...  Well, give a try to the following:

PERLDB_OPTS="NonStop frame=5 AutoTrace" perl -d \
`which autoreconf`

Interrupt it  (C-c and then certainly q to quit the interactive mode),
and send the last bits of the traces.  I don't guarantee this will
work :(
