Autoconf 2.59?

I know this was discussed a month or so ago, but is autoconf 2.59 the 
current and recommended version?

If so, why has it not been uploaded to ftp.gnu.org.  The current version 
there is the buggy 2.58.

The http://www.gnu.org/software/autoconf webpage still says that 2.57 is 
the current release and has that versions documentation online.
