[GNU Autoconf 2.59] testsuite: 2 3 6 7 9 12 13 14 31 failed

I tried installing autoconf on a Solaris 8 SPARC machine. I'm not sure what 
information you need to figure this out. But, I'm willing to answer any and 
all questions you have about the machine.
