Hi,
I maintain libtool in Debian and we were again bitten by automake
hard-coding aclocal version into the libtool toolchain.
This means libtool needs to be updated for each automake (aclocal) and
has repercussions for the rest of the archive.
Other tools seem to be updatable, why does aclocal hard-code a version?
should we be making aclocal its own package and have the versions
co-installable?
