not sure what the incompatibilities are....but simply
replacing the kernel might break some of your other
binaries...
- I've "broken" my old test rh-5.0 box with
linux-2.2.1 kernel
you need to upgrade your binaries and libs too....
to have a true linux-2.2 machine
