Hi!

Yesterday I stopped and restarted autofs (yes, I know this was silly).
Now I find that automount refuses to start up on /home because (of
course) /home is already mounted (there are about a dozen users logged
in). But new users cannot log in because there is no automounter
running.

May 26 12:19:47 shimeji automount[2810]: >> mount: according to mtab,
automount(pid3383) is already mounted on /home
May 26 12:19:47 shimeji automount[2810]: /home: mount failed!

What do I do, short of booting all the users off?

Thanks in advance!

Luke
