I am not sure if NFS is involved. autofs normally does symlink to
filesystems which it finds in the automounter map but are on local
hosts, e.g. on host "erde" it will make a symlink when mounting
"/home/erde".
I think it is possible also to have an NFS client which uses the
server "localhost" but by my understanding, autofs doesn't do it this
way.

By hand I can mount them, if I shut down autofs and create the mount
point. This is the case for NFS filesystemss and for local
filessystems.

What I would like to know, dows autofs ignore safely this map entry so
that we can use the same maps for all hosts, or may it become
confounded, so that we need at least a special auto.master for Linux
hosts ?
