He hadn't lost it and seems to seriously consider it for smbmount 2.0.6.
That will give us a supported mount.smb (well, rename it mount.smbfs if
you are unhappy! :) and the mount_smbfs moudle can be removed.
Unlike most existing mount.smbfs scripts, perhaps this will be kept up to
date with the changing smbmount syntax (since mount.smbfs == smbmount).
