I installed linux-2.3.99-pre8; turned ON kernel automounter version 4 support; turned OFF kernel automounter (doesn't matter if it's off or on); and installed autofs-4.0.0pre7 (compiled, installed the modules to /usr/lib/autofs, and copied auto.net to /etc/init.d).
In general automounter works for NFS filesystems. However, we use the following multimount construction on Sun, IBM (AIX), and SGI (IRIX) machines which COMES UP EMPTY with linux...
fs1 \
/3dnet fileserver.res.utc.com:/3dnet \
/RMG fileserver.res.utc.com:/RMG \
/control_tech fileserver.res.utc.com:/control_tech \
/cs fileserver.res.utc.com:/cs
The NEWS seemed to indicate that multimounting works. Does it or am I missing something?
