Thanks Frank, but I 'm not sure if it's a nfs problem ...
Does mount and umount use really /etc/mtab and not /proc/mounts or are they using
both?
Who is responsible of maintaining /etc/mtab up to date?
How do you actualize /etc/mtab with cron?
