My company just converted its automount maps to NIS on a Solaris 8
server. While I had autofs working local maps, I cannot get it to work
with NIS. I am running Redhat 6.2 with autofs 3.1.5.

for /etc/auto_master I have ...
+auto.master

for /etc/auto_home I have ...
+auto.home

autofs status shows ...
/root]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/autofs status
Configured Mount Points:
------------------------
/usr/sbin/automount /utrc/home yp /etc/auto_home
rw,hard,intr,timeo=11,retrans=5,rsize=8192,wsize=8192

Active Mount Points:
--------------------
/usr/sbin/automount /utrc/home yp /etc/auto_home
rw,hard,intr,timeo=11,retrans=5,rsize=8192,wsize=8192

ypcat shows my home directory correctly...

# ypcat -k auto.home | grep pek
pek rcfs1:/home_kirschpe

So, it looks like auto.master was picked up from NIS . However, my home
directory do not show up.

What am I missing or need to do to make this work?

Thanks in advance...
