Hello everybody,
I am trying to use autofs with local filesystems that will be exported to
other computers. However, once /usr/sbin/exportfs is started, the
filesystems remain always mounted even if there are no local user nor nfs
clients asking for those filesystems. If I stop nfs, the filsystem
expires after the timeout as one should expect.
Is there any workaround that will allow a exported filesystem to be
mounted only when a local user OR a nfs client requires it?
I am using RedHat 6.0, autofs-3.1.3-2, nfs-utils-0.1.9.1-1,
kernel-2.2.16-3.
My auto.master:
/misc /etc/auto.misc --timeout 30
/net /etc/auto.net --timeout 300
My auto.misc:
database -fstype=ext2 :/dev/md0
Also I use the link /database -> /misc/database
My exportfs:
/database foo.es(rw)
/database foo2.es(rw)
The nfs clients are both RedHat and Solaris.
