Hello there.
This is something that left me scratching my skull for a while.
I ended up creating a hidden directory in which to mount the remote file
systems and a visible directory in which I created links to the hidden mount
points. Messy, but seems to get the job done. For sanities sake it it best to
write a quick script to handle the management of such an arrangement. If
anybody has any better ideas I would love to hear them.
Love and kisses
Mat.

Subject: Re: making keys appear
Hi,
How can I make Linux autofs displaying the potential mount points
under a specific directory (without mounting them)? I am looking for
something similar to the browse feature of the Solaris 5.6 automount.
I have just subscribed recently and I missed the starting discussion
on "making keys appear" which I believe is related.
I run the Linux 2.4.0 of the Suse 7.1 distribution.
Thanks,
