I have a auto.net file which looks like this:

And in auto.master is this line:

auto.net -intr,proplist,nodev,nosuid
-------------------------------------------------
cd /net/foo/scratch
bash: cd: /alberich/scratch: No such file or directory
This is with autofs4-4.0.0pre10-25 in SuSE Linux 7.2
