I think that I was too quick to answer, as I found a way to get what I
want. What I did, was:

cat auto.master
/app multi file /etc/auto.app -- yp auto.master

cat auto.app
omega localhost:/usr/app/omega

At least on RedHat 7.2, this give me exactly what I want, including all
the other NIS maps listed in the NIS auto.master map.
