If you are willing to use autofs v4 and able to patch the autofs v4 and
kernel sources then have a look at http://wombat.indigo.net.au/autofs
<http://wombat.indigo.net.au/autofs/> .

If this is useful to you let me know as there is another bug fix patch.

        Subject: [autofs] newbie question

        Hi,

Is there a way just to list all the mount points in the automount
tables
but the filesystems are not actually mounted?
My problem is when I use a file selector for browsing directories, I
can
not see the available directories unless the filesystems are
mounted.

        Thanks a lot,
        Binh.
