I am still of the fundamental opinion that if you use direct mounts
you're doing something wrong.  However, I certainly can see the use for
ghosting -- and despite what people seem to think, it's not for lack of
conviction that I have been sceptical, but purely for technical reasons.

However, the follow_link hack seems very promising so far.
