Sorry, there is no option to configure that. So is this a feature request? ;)
I've looked at that part of the code a couple of times recently as Chris is interested in tidying it up.
It certainly looks like it needs work. What was I thinking, doh.
Anyway, it also looks like that if the nosymlink option is specified it will work as requested here.
Yes, the nosymlink option does it, thanks Ian. And moreover: The `nosymlink' option is hereby approved to find its way into the manpage (if theres time for that ;-)
I need to check this as that option may be obsolete now and need to be renamed.
