As I mentioned before autofs should umount all mounts that are not busy at shutdown. I'm planning on removing this for beta3 until we can work out why it was needed. Hope that will not cause problems for you.
Aaahhm ... I've changed my mind as there's surely some reason for it in the first place.
I'll code around it but I'd still like to know the history please.

The problem looks real enough to me (although I don't see the specific circumstances where it would break), and it should probably be fixed for beta3.
