Only the autofs5 package in 4.7 would be affected by this.
Version 5 has had this mistake from the beginning.

Yeah, that's not good but I have to do something to fix it.

We could double the buffer size each time we allocate it but that would
lead to considerable waste. Or maybe increasing the increment to 4k
would be better. The current 2k will lead to 10 or 11 allocations.
