Solaris (the original platform) does not have such constraints. Even the Linux man page does not have such incomprehensible constraints. Oh, well. I think the first usage is going to be "interesting" to fix. The second can be handled with a switch. It seems awfully bizarre that POSIX disallows the portability of capturing the value given to siglongjmp(). It is very counter intuitive.
Anyway, WRT the config test, the test is to ensure that it compiles and has no linkage breakage. As far as I can see, only the address-of operator is in error.
