Unless I'm blind, there doesn't seem to be any way to look at a libopts tearoff and figure out what version of autogen it came from. Since autogen/libopts has such tight versioning controls (you can't process autogen .def files with one version of autogen and use a different libopts tearoff) it would be really nice for me to be able to check version compatibility before I get to the compile phase.
Hopefully that made sense.
