While trying to compile PEAR for PHP on Mac OS X 10.1, it became clear
that automake was not installed on my system. I grabbed automake-1.5 and
gave it a shot and got the following errors (below). I'm not really that
familiar with the details of Autoconf & Automake, and I thought this
would be the best place to ask for help. I have been poking around in
the configure script but the going is tedious and I haven't been able to
figure out what is causing the errors.
