If you want to install man1/foo.1, it/man/foo.1, and es_AR/man/foo.1, then your package contains three different `foo.1' files. The question is how to tell Automake which file corresponds to which language, so they eventually get installed in the right place. Suggestions so far are to put this information in the source filename. For instance teaching Automake to install `pt_BR-foo.1' or `foo.1.pt_BR' as `pt_BR/man1/foo.1', with the rewriting issues Josef pointed out. -- Alexandre Duret-Lutz
