I'm embarassed to announce the release of Automake 1.8.2. Any package built with Automake 1.8.1 (including Automake 1.8.1 itself) will fail to install on Tru64 due to a bug in install-sh. Please trash 1.8.1.

Bug fixed in 1.8.2: * A (well known) portability bug slipped in the changes made to install-sh in Automake 1.8.1. The broken install-sh would refuse to install anything on Tru64. * Fix install rules for conditionally built python files. (This never really worked.)
