Given the exception sequence, it looks like your system doesn't have the pgrep command. Can you check to see if it does?
Autotest makes some assumptions about the platform on which it is running. It assumes certain tools exist and that they take all of the gnu options, so you might run into other issues if you are trying to execute it on a stripped down distribution.
