Hi guys,

Due to the kernel.org security incident, the admins of the domain put
most of it off the DNS server, affecting therefore test.kernel.org and
autotest.kernel.org. This outage also affected the mailing list, but now
everything is functional again.

During the mean time, we've been working on much needed infrastructure
changes:

* Autotest moved to git from svn
* The source code control, website hosting, issues and wiki were
migrated to github. Now, we have a new github backed page for the project:

http://autotest.github.com/

We are currently in the process of making our domain autotest.kernel.org
to point out to this website.

This change brought some very welcome changes:

* It is now preferable that new contribution are made using github pull
requests

http://help.github.com/send-pull-requests/

The process of setting up an environment to contribute this way can be
seen in the link above. However, we still encourage people to send
patchsets to the list, for the folks who prefer the traditional mail
thread way of reviewing code.

* Now we have more maintainers to the project, more people to read your
patchsets and propose improvements to it.

Please keep in mind that we are still making adjustments, so please be
patient while we sort out the details. Meanwhile, you can enjoy our new
and fully functional infrastructure at autotest.github.com.

Cheers,

The autotest team
