Update: We've found the culprit to be the THP (transparent hugepages)
code, and fortunately Andrea has sent a fix upstream not long ago fixing
the problem. We're currently in the process of getting an rpm with the
fix so we could assess it did fix the problem. Thanks again for
reporting the problem, Satheesh!
