As we're about to move to a new mailing list (that was copied on this email), let's go over the reasons of why this is being done.
Q1) Why are you moving the mailing list? A1: The autotest mailing list is being maintained on a box that can't be upgraded, it's running over 500 days and therefore, it's a liability, it has to be shut down for good. Q2) This is a @redhat.com mailing list. Is it internal and I'm missing something? A2: Red Hat offered to host the mailing list. As we have no intention of keeping the old box turned on whatsoever, I had to move it somewhere. I even created a google groups, but it was suggested that good ol' mailman was a better choice. So autotest-ker...@redhat.com is the new autotest upstream mailing list, let's move all discussion to that place. Q3) Why -kernel in the name? A3: My mistake, I thought autotest was already taken. Doesn't seem important enough to request a new list. It's just a mailing list, once you update the filters and all, it shouldn't be a big deal. Q4) When the old list will be shut down? A4: The old box is intended to be shut down on Monday, to give people some time to react and complain about anything they feel is wrong. Q5) Where should I send all autotest related mail? I'm still confused. A5: Please send everything out to autotest-ker...@redhat.com and update your filters. We are sorry for any inconvenience. _______________________________________________ Autotest mailing list Autotest@test.kernel.org http://test.kernel.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/autotest
