Hi All,
Today I realized, and went back and looked at the release announcement
for Avahi 0.1 ("Guten Tag") which was posted on the 22nd of August,
2005. That makes Avahi 3 years old!

Just wanted to extend my thanks to everyone involved in the project...
most especially to Lennart who spear-headed and has driven the project
as a whole, but we have also received contributions from a great many
people - too many to list here. To everyone (and you know who you
are!) - your contributions are valued - and Thanks! This includes not
just people that contributed patches, but also worked with us on bug
reports, etc.
In that time Avahi has become fairly standard across all/most linux
distributions - although I feel it's features are still not really
exploited anywhere near its capability within desktop applications
which is a bit of a shame. Hopefully in the next while that can be
remedied. It certainly helps that Avahi support is now prominent in a
fair percentage of the active install base.
