Yes, my talk will be in DNS devroom. I plan to visit distribution room
in any case, but Snaps are not my favorites. It is already accepted [1],
Saturday 17:30 at room K4.201.
Would be about our intention to create systemd-resolved replacement,
which would add features without hopefully adding regressions on well
behaved networks. It should use battle-proven DNS resolvers instead of
writing yet another from scratch, just adding required glue between
Network Manager and resolver daemons. It should also present DNS
information in a nice way, kind of resolvectl. Ideally localized.
We have still just barely working prototype now, it should be improved
before our presentation.
I will arrive on Friday morning and leave at Sunday evening.
I thought about having a short talk about Avahi too, but except there
are new people involved and it moved main repository, there is not much
to talk about (yet). Of course, I have many ideas how to improve Avahi
and MDNS on Linux, but that should be about existing things, not dreams.
But at least short chat about what where we are now over beer, or just
chips and limonade, would be nice.

Hi,
I will be at FOSDEM, on both days, arriving Fri, Feb 2 around noon and
leaving on Monday afternoon, and I will give the talk
Desktop Linux, as easy as a smartphone! Just in a Snap!
in the Distributions devroom, on Sunday, 1:30 PM – 1:55 PM
I will tell how the Snap packaging system and the all-Snap immutable
distros Ubuntu Core and Ubuntu Core Desktop work.
I hope we will also have some people being able to demo it Ubuntu Core
Desktop.
I also still have 3 pending submissions, a talk about OpenPrinting,
where I am the lead of, and 2 lightning talks.
Petr, is your talk already approved or even scheduled? What is your
talk about.
Petr, so we will have enough opportunities to meet.
And if someone wants to know how the printing guru made it into Snap, see

Hello everyone,
Unless something changes last moment, I would be present on FOSDEM on
3rd and 4th of February. If anyone involved in avahi would like to
meet and chat, you can find me in DNS room. I should have a talk
there. If you are there, feel free to reach out to me. It is better
to have faces and people connected to nicknames.
PS: Have you noticed avahi has moved to github.com/avahi/avahi
project already?
