> > Why can't ASF Bylaws 5.8 be adapted to server the needs of a PMC? > Sounds good. "Section 5.8. Quorum and Voting. A majority of the number of directors fixed in accordance with these Bylaws shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. The vote of a majority of the directors present at a meeting at which a quorum is present shall be the act of the Board of Directors." Am I correct in rewriting this as: "Quorum and Voting. A majority of the number of PMC members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. The vote [on procedural issues] of a majority of the members [during some period within] which a quorum [votes] shall be the act of the PMC." This incorporates the ASF Board voting bylaw, exchanges the meeting for a period (TBD), and clarifies that it addresses procedural issues (as discussed by http://incubator.apache.org/drafts/voting.html). --- Noel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
