Fellow fans of Avalon : Please go to http://www.jesktop.org & http://www.jesktop.net to see the latest release of Jesktop - the Java desktop. New features are a Control Panel, Configlets, Choosable backdrop, a desktop that remembers it's size between restarts. Updated are Beanshell, Skin and Oyoaha (look and feels) decorators - all to latest versions. It sits on Avalon/Phoenix by the way and uses some Cornerstone components. To try it : 1) Download, unzip, build : http://www.jesktop.org/full_source_distributions/Jesktop_FullSourceDistribution.tar.gz 2) Go to phoenix/bin and invoke run.bat or run.sh 3) "Start" Button -> simple Installer 4) Load apps over then from http://www.jesktop.net/apps by cut and pasting their URLs into the Simple Installer.... or better still downloading them first (for posterity).
