Greg,

I've committed both patches and the test cases - thanks for
supplying them. Please verify that they have been applied correctly.

Peter,

I applied the VariableSizeBuffer patch before I applied the
DefaultQueue patch, so I never got to see the bug manifest itself
on my system. Could you also please check that the bug you saw
is well and truly dead? I have put your test case in as
ThreadedQueueTest.

All,

it does sound ungrateful to whine about this, but anyone
considering submitting patches for bugs should do so
via

    http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/

Mark the summary with [Patch], and it will turn up on the
bug summary, and so on. That way your patch will not get lost,
and when we gear up for a release it will be dealt with.

Other extras:

+ You get notified when the patch is applied and the bug
    closed.

+ The CVS commit can reference the bug ID.

+ A copy of all notifications are sent to the list.

The downside is that you need to register for Bugzilla access,
but believe me, it is worth it. And it is easy: Just enter
your email address and you name and there you go.
