Sorry for the delay in responding. Pete is correct - the
avalon/excalibur/services package == "merlin". It's been on
my agenda to sort this out in terms of the excalibur
restructuring but at the same time I've been (and remain)
totally swamped with "stuff". In terms of dependencies, merlin
references the mpool Pool interface (a pooled object that isn't
dependent on Component). There is also a strong dependency on the
CascadingConfiguration class.
