Well - that's the problem - both ContextUtil and CascadingConfiguration 
of not tied to Merlin and bundling them in the same package is basically 
poluting Merlin and creating less clarity about what these things are 
and what they can do.  We talked before about extensions to 
configuration concerning things like "get children using key" and so - 
and the idea then was to put those sort of things into a seperate 
package.  I agree that CascadingConfiguration is somewhat lonely all by 
itself - but its one hell of a usefull service.  In fact I think it 
would be quite appropriate to include it in the framework.  The 
ContextUtil is another matter as that needs more work on documentation 
and some functional stuff (no problem about moving one that into the 
Merlin package).
