I am getting the same problem on the doc-files. Received it twice last
night and I have got this in the past as well (but cannot confirm at what
point). Also got this in the avalon-apps checkout with the -d.

I am using WinCVS on Win95 (GASP). I was trying the -d option, but then
tried it without the -d option - same problem.

Will obviously try it again - perhaps this time I will delete everything
and refresh.

It appears to me that you're using the standard cvs command-line tool.
I've never used the date option, but give the following a try in a fresh
directory and see what happens: (on one line, btw)

cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/cvspublic co
jakarta-avalon-excalibur

This will just checkout the absolute latest for the
jakarta-avalon-excalibur package.
