Cornerstone has been released. James is one project we are aware of
that has runtime depedencies - but the reality is that anyone who has
downloaded Cornerstone and has plased confidence in our deliver of
maintained components may be subject to fail contions similar to that
identified with the James scenario. I believe we "Avalon Development
Community" have to do do two things:
(a) correct the current 1.0 component implementations such that they
implement the Component interface.
(b) provide a 2.0 release that is independent of the the Component
interface

Component is depricated - that's all - if you want to make Component
dissapear - then come up with a new component version.

Put 1.0 Component based into the branch.
Put in place a Component independent version under the head - but make
sure it version 2.0.
