I am concerned about the watering down of the individual within this community. While I can see what you are trying to do WRT code ownership problems, I fear that you are treading on dangerous ground.
I feel that pride of contribution is one of the pillars of opensource and actually closedsource projects. A sense of ownership and responsibility for a piece of code is beneficial to the overall project.
