I would like to root my newly begun mail server in the Phoenix and Avalon.
JMS seems like the best choice to manage incoming and outgoing mail queues
(it's an accepted standard with guaranteed delivery that will allow the
various mail services to exist as independent modules).

I've downloaded PhoenixJMS, but it doesn't seem to be under active
development and it isn't clear if/how it works.

Question 1:
Does PhoenixJMS work, and if so what does it take to set it up?

Question 2:
Are there any other alternatives (either for using JMS and Phoenix or
something other than JMS)?

I might as well add one last question, although it doesn't match the Subject
of this message

Question 3:
Should I write an independent server that integrates with Phoenix for
configuration and launching, or just go ahead and write something Phoenix
dependant. If I rely only on Phoenix, I can take advantage of certain
features (like the logging stuff and cornerstone components), but I
sacrifice flexibility and need to trust it's stability.

If you can provide insight into any of the questions above, I would
appreciate it.

Thanks,

David Weitzman
