After realizing that it's now been almost 2.5 years ago I released
AVaRICE version 2.10, I quickly prepared a bugfix-only release 2.11.

Before, I checked in all outstanding patches except those that deal
with the programming functionality. In particular, AVaRICE is now
-Wall -Wextra safe for GCC 4.x, and these warnings are now enabled by
default. (GCC 3.x users might want to use --disable-warnings on the
configure script.)

Regarding programming functionality, my opinion (which is, of course,
debatable) is that I'd ultimately no longer like to maintain this
inside AVaRICE, as it's a duplication of effort with the AVRDUDE
project. AVRDUDE offers a more complete, unified CLI to basically all
pieces of wire on earth that could potentially program an AVR device,
so I think it doesn't make much sense to have a mini-version of that,
with a different user interface, inside AVaRICE as well. By now, the
only thing AVaRICE offers which AVRDUDE lacks is direct ELF file
reading, but that has been on AVRDUDE's wishlist for long enough
anyway.

There's one thing, however, that I'd really like to see fixed in
AVaRICE in a future version: flash downloading from inside a GDB
connection (through GDB's "load") command. This is IMHO a useful
feature, but right now, it's completely broken for the JTAGICEmkII, as
it would require a paged programming, yet GDB has no idea of the flash
page constraints, and happily feeds us load data in semi-random order.
