Hi,
with avifile 0.53 I was able to run qtvidcap but with the latest 0.6 from cvs
I always get the following error messages:
v4lx: Error opening v4lx device ~@~@: No such file or directory in
::v4lxif
v4l1: VIDIOCCAPTURE in ::v4l1if
v4l1: VIDIOC_G_CAP in ::v4l1if
v4l1: you need a newer bttv version (>= 0.5.14)
v4l1: VIDIOC_G_WIN in ::v4l1if
v4l1: VIDIOC_G_PICT in ::v4l1if
v4l1: ioctl VIDIOC_G_FBUF in ::v4l1if
v4l1: VIDIOC_S_PICT in ::v4l1if
v4l1: Video4Linux and DGA disagree about the framebuffer base
v4l1: Video4Linux: 0x0, dga: 0xe6000000!
v4l1: you probably want to insmod the bttv module with "vidmem=0xe60"
v4l1: Video4Linux and DGA disagree about the color depth
v4l1: Video4Linux: 0, DGA: 32.
v4l1: Is kv4lsetup installed correctly?
v4l1: VIDIOC_G_MBUF in ::v4l1if
v4l1: unable to allocate memory for snap shots and video clips!
My bttv driver is bttv-0.7.65 so I don't know why it complains that I need
bttv >= 0.5.14.
Running kv4lsetup it gives the following results:
using X11 display :0.0
x11: mode=1280x1024x24
x11: deteced framebuffer depth: 32 bpp
x11: set depth to 32 bpp
dga: base=0xe6000000, width=1280
set video mode: 1280x1024, 32 bit/pixel, 5120 byte/scanline
set framebuffer at 0xe6000000
ok
I also tried to load the bttv modul manually using "insmod bttv vidmem=0xe60"
but it tells me that this is an unknown option.
I have also disabled dga for the xserver and uses another color depth but
nothing help.
So any ideas what I could do else are welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Bernd
