Can you please specify more precisely what version of gcc you've got.
Is it gcc from redhat-7.0 or any upgrade, such as 2.96.69? If it is
default gcc from 7.0, upgrade it ( this question is covered by FAQ:
http://divx.euro.ru/faq.htm ). I'm not sure that CVS qtrecompress
works now, but qtvidcap definitely does, at least here ( it has problems with
proper initialization of capture card; if you run more accurately
written capture program, such as xawtv, first, and then start qtvidcap, you
should be able to capture with realtime compression ).
