I don't know about the wine stuff. In my installation of
avifile-0.53.5, there is a /usr/local/include/avifile/wine directory
that contains the bits of WINE that were used in avifile to support
the win32 codecs. I needed some of these headers for the
BITMAPINFOHEADER struct, and so forth, but they are all included
indirectly (via /usr/local/include/avifile/avifile.h for example).
I would expect this stuff to "just work," but I guess you never know...
As far as I know, though, there shouldn't be a dependence on a full
WINE package.
