[Avifile]Trouble finding includes

Hi,
I'm quite a Linux beginner. When I tried to install "avifile 0.53.5" the
configure script always says "Cannot find X includes...". I have
installed the X source (in /usr/src/X11) and tried to add several
PATHes. Where does avifile expect the X sources to be?
