I recently have problems with aviplay/CVS and pthreads on FreeBSD:

aviplay Film.avi

Using DirectShow
codec: /usr/local/lib/win32/divx_c32.ax
Decoder is capable of YUV output ( flags 0x1 )

That is probably the reason why video&sound drift when playing a while.

The last version I know of that didn't have the problem was from April
29th..
