Alright, I'm running into compile problems here. First I tried 0.53.5, but that
returned errors during compile (the whole error message sequence is attached as
"avifile-error").

Next I tried the cvs avifile, not sure of the exact date (sorry... was about a week
ago i guess), but the error for that is attached too. I then updated the cvs version,
and I can't even run configure on it; the configure script tells me it can't run
config.sub. When I tried to run config.sub directly, this is the error I get:

./config.sub: =======: command not found
./config.sub: line 35: syntax error near unexpected token `<<<<<'
./config.sub: line 35: `<<<<<<< config.sub'

I have no idea what's going on at all. In case it helps any, I'm running the 2.4.5
kernel, glibc 2.1.3, and gcc 2.95.3.

Thanks for looking at this, any help would be appreciated.
