Yep, i also get similar errors in autogen.sh and configure. I'm using the
latest avifile from CVS. And my automake and autoconf packages are up to
date.

So whats the problem with avifile ? Any hints?

autogen.sh:

[...]
autoconf: Undefined macros:
configure.in:210: AC_PATH_QT
Now you are ready to run ./configure

configure:

[...]
checking whether c++ accepts -g... (cached) yes
checking how to run the C++ preprocessor... (cached) c++ -E
checking for a BSD compatible install... (cached) /usr/bin/install -c
./configure: syntax error near unexpected token
`AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE(avifile,'
./configure: ./configure: line 1200: `AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE(avifile, $VERSION,
no-define)'
