I used to get my V3 crashing X a lot too. Most of the problems happen when
using strip wrong. If you've stripped X or avifile or any of the libs either
uses yourself you probably stripped too many symbols out. couldn't tell
you exactly if it's avifile or your setup because i moved from V3 to G450
