While compiling CVS version of avifile on a RedHat 7.0 system, I get the
ff.:

make[2]: Entering directory `/home/richip/src/avifile/lib/aviplay'
/bin/sh ../../libtool --silent --mode=compile c++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I.
-I. -I../../include   -O3 -mpentiumpro -march=pentiumpro
-mcpu=pentiumpro -march=i586 -I/usr/include/SDL -D_REENTRANT -w
-march=i586 -I../../include -I/usr/include/SDL -D_REENTRANT -c mmx.cpp
/tmp/cc9BH6op.s: Assembler messages:
/tmp/cc9BH6op.s:734: Fatal error: Symbol m0 already defined.

I've also tried using c++ from gcc-3.0 but got the exact same error
message. I looked at the code but not being familiar with assembly in
Linux, things seemed ok to me.

Can anyone help?

Yours truly,
Richi Plana
